Acupuncture Therapy
Acupuncture is a gentle and effective treatment that works to restore balance within the body. By inserting very fine needles at specific points, it helps to relieve pain, reduce stress, and support the body’s natural healing processes.
At Ross Acupuncture, every treatment is tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are seeking relief from a specific condition or looking to improve your overall wellbeing, treatments are designed to support both physical and emotional health.
Your Initial Consultation
Your first appointment lasts approximately 75 minutes, allowing time for a thorough assessment and treatment.
During this session, I will ask detailed questions about your main concerns, general health, lifestyle, and medical history. This holistic approach helps build a complete understanding of your condition so that the most appropriate treatment plan can be created for you.
The treatment itself usually lasts between 20 and 45 minutes and may include additional techniques such as moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, or electroacupuncture where appropriate. Each method will be clearly explained so you feel comfortable and informed throughout.
Before Your Appointment
To get the most from your treatment, please follow these simple guidelines:
• Eat a light meal a couple of hours before your appointment
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing (easy access to elbows and knees)
• Avoid arriving on an empty stomach
You may also find the Information & Care Sheet helpful for guidance on what to expect after treatment, along with self-care advice.
